About me…

As a kid, a photographer was the first thing I ever wanted to be when I grew up.  I am a very lucky woman to be living out my dream. 

I grew up in St. Clair Shores and attended Regina High School.  It was then that I developed a passion for photography, art and music. 

In 1991, I started working in a photo lab, soon after joining their location photography team.  Attending Michigan State University for two years, I studied studio art, while coming home to work summers and holidays for that same business.  I returned to the area permanently in 1995.  In 1999, I moved on to a studio that is more focused on children’s portraiture.  In January 2000, I created Image Exposure, then attending the Great Lakes Institute of Photography in 2001.  In 2002, I joined a studio as the only main photographer besides the owner.  Since September 2003, I have been working exclusively towards building Image Exposure. 

Until 2007, Image Exposure was built on 100% word of mouth referrals.  I greatly appreciate your generous referrals.  I will continue to offer you, your friends and family the personal experience of portraiture from the home… mine or yours.

I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America as well as the Professional Photographers of Michigan.  I continue educating myself every year by attending seminars and conferences affiliated with these organizations.  My goal is to  work toward my PPA Certification. 

Most importantly, my passion for photography and my creative and energetic personality drives me to deliver the best images possible to my clients.  I am a proud mother of one son, and I understand the sincerity of a family bond.  I enjoy getting to know your family, and hearing the stories that may animate the image of your next portrait.  With the innocence and curiosity of our children, we are able to document the beauty and simplicity of life.  This is my pleasure.
